Giant Kelp

This is the giant kelp, which is the fastest growing plant, on Earth. The golden round shape, where the leaf begins to grow, is actually a bubble filled with air. This bubble floats, so it pulls the plant up to the sunshine. This seaweed is used, for many things, like ice cream and makeup. This one is still small but it can grow as tall as a 16 story building. Kelp forests are like cities for many animals including seals, sea otters, snails, fish and much more.
